The City of Holyoke has secured a $6.56 million MassWorks Infrastructure Program grant for streetscape improvements in the area around Carlos Vega Park in South Holyoke. The grant will fund a new traffic configuration, storm water bump-out planters with new trees, new curbing and sidewalks, landscaping, street lighting, bike lanes and pedestrian connections, improved alleyways and a new 18,950 square-foot green space.

The project will aid in the South Holyoke Homes development being led by the Holyoke Redevelopment Authority and the Holyoke Housing Authority. South Holyoke Homes is a residential development with an emphasis on affordable home ownership. Click here for additional information.
